Kentucky — with a collection of high school All-Americans — was ranked No. 1 in The Associated Press' preseason Top 25, a significant step considering the Wildcats finished 21-12 last season and were upset by Robert Morris in the first round of the NIT. Kentucky was also ranked No. 1 in the USA Today coaches' poll and in Sporting News' preseason Top 25. It's Kentucky's third preseason No. 1 and first since 1995-96 when the Wildcats won the national championship....

The biggest mover this week was North Carolina, which shocked the nation by upsetting No. 12 Florida State. Washington also sent a loud message with its demolition of No. 7 Stanford on Friday, leaping from No. 10 to No. 5. Clemson also saw a slight bump after beating No. 3 Louisville, and Tennessee found its way back into the top 10 for the first time since its narrow season-opening win against Appalachian State....

Ocasio-Cortez was among 17 Democratic members of Congress arrested outside the court on Tuesday while protesting the recent decision to eliminate federal abortion rights protections by overturning the landmark 1973 Roe v. Wade ruling. Capitol Police said the arrests, which included 35 protesters in total, were on charges of crowding, obstructing or incommoding.
