A town takeover is when a section of the game map is changed to be modeled after a particular legend. These takeovers allow developer Respawn Entertainment to make changes to the Apex Legends’ game map while also expanding on the different character’s stories. In this case, the legend is Rampart, who was first introduced to Apex Legends in Season 6. The first town takeover occurred way back in Season 2 when Octane’s Gauntlet landed on the Kings Canyon map....
Recolored skins are just as their name implies. They are recolored versions of skins that were previously released in Apex Legends. While the developers do their best to produce cosmetics that are reflective of all the legends and weapons, there are times when they will take old skins and fit them with a new paint job. It seems that Apex Legends developers have heard the community, because merely a few hours before the release of the Fight Night Collection Event, Caustic’s buff has been removed and replaced with a Horizon nerf that increases her Grav Lift cooldown from 16 seconds to 21 seconds. While many players may be relieved about the removal of Caustic’s buff, Horizon players may not be pleased with the nerf, although Horizon is considered a little overpowered....

So far, it has been revealed that a completely new character known as Crypto will be added to the game. Crypto is a hacking vigilante and players will be able to follow his adventures on the new planet through his campaign. Since the launch of the new Apex Legends season takes place over the course of the Holiday season, there will be a lot of opportunities for Respawn Entertainment to add holiday-specific LTMs to the game....
