Well, don’t. The iPhone 5 will be pretty much the same. Apple’s busy bringing the law down on Samsung to give you something different.

Let’s start with the latest iPhone 5 rumors: Apple Insider is reporting that the next iteration of the iPhone is going into production this September for a likely fall release, coinciding with previous rumors of a late 2011/early 2012 release date. Their sources indicate that the device will only feature “slight modifications” compared to the iPhone 4.

They do claim though that iPhone 5 will feature an improved antennae (obviously), a faster processor (the iPad 2’s A5) and an 8-megapixel rear camera. Apparently, Apple’s World Wide Developer’s Conference - which they decided to schedule against E3 - will not be used to showcase new hardware, but instead focus on their new OS offerings.

If you’re not an iPhone user, perhaps you own a Samsung Galaxy… a phone that Apple claims is a copy of theirs. That’s right, Apple has filed a lawsuit against the Korean company, claiming the Galaxy Tab, Galaxy S and Nexus S devices are infringing on their style. The lawsuit reads:

In other news, I hear the United Federation of Planets is suing Apple for copying their data pad designs with the iPads.

Would you upgrade from the iPhone 4 to the 5 if it only has minor changes?
