The brand new season of Apex Legends will have tons of new content. Respawn Entertainment will announce more information in the coming week or so leading up to the launch of the new season, but for now, it did give fans a hint at what they can expect in Season 5.

RELATED: Everything We Know About Apex Legends Season 5 Character Loba

The most exciting piece of information is a brand new Legend, that being Loba. Each new season of Apex Legends comes with a new character, Season 5: Fortune’s Favor being no different. Loba has an interesting backstory involving a tragic past and hatred towards Legend Revenant. Now that she’s found him, she’s out to get revenge.

Respawn also briefly mentioned a brand new feature called “Quests.” Players will be able to hunt for treasure and be richly rewarded for their journey. This is a bit ambiguous, so more info down the road will surely come from the developer. The game already has challenges, so it is possible that Apex Legends is introducing something akin to contracts from Call of Duty: Warzone. In that COD battle royale, players can start contracts mid-match and set off on quick “side-quests” to get loot and gear. It’s possible that the Quests are something similar. Or it could be that Respawn is overhauling the challenge system in the game, as many have thought it a bit simplistic.

A new season also means a brand new battle pass, the battle pass being a feature of Apex Legends since Season 1 that it has continually worked on improving. The new pass will come with over 100 exclusive items, legendary skins, Apex packs, and more. Fans will also be interested to know that new type of content will be coming in the pass this time around. In previous seasons, the pass has introduced things such as skydive emotes.

Ranked Series 4 will also be coming with Season 5, as each new season brings a new series of the competitive mode. No information yet on map changes, or even the possibility of a brand new map like Angel City from Titanfall. Players will have to wait on that information in the coming days.

Apex Legends is available now on PC, PS4, and Xbox One.
