Apex Legends is currently in Season 15, and the game has seen several significant changes since the start of the season. For example, the battle royale introduced the new Legend Catalyst and added Broken Moon to the map rotation. Despite these changes, some players are still looking for new things to do in Apex Legends, and this new Collection Event could be the solution.

Known as the Spellbound Collection Event, Respawn Entertainment has revealed that the new in-game event begins on January 10 and will run until January 24. During this latest event, the developer is introducing a number of new Legendary skins for characters such as Vantage, Seer, Mad Maggie, and Mirage. In addition, an heirloom for Seer called “Showstoppers” will be released during the event. In total, there are 24 limited-time cosmetics that can be collected, and some free items can even be earned through a new reward tracker.

While new skins are expected with a Collection Event, this latest update brings back the fan-favorite LTM called Control as well. This mode, which has been featured in the game several times since it was released in 2022, allows players to partake in 9v9 matches on several popular POIs from the battle royale’s various maps. While many players want Control to become a permanent game mode in Apex Legends, its reintroduction, albeit for a limited time, is a pleasant surprise.

This news regarding the Spellbound Collection Event looks to mix up the day-to-day gameplay in the battle royale game. With new skins, Private matches, and the Control LTM all on the way, it will be interesting if this update gives Apex Legends a surge in popularity to start 2023.

Apex Legends is available for PC, PS4, PS5, Switch, Xbox One, and Xbox Series X/S.
