Reddit user “MohSSEEZZ” shares a clip of their ranked Apex Legends match in which their teammates stood by as another team racked up kills on “MohSSEEZZ.” The player is killed and respawned three times before choosing to leave the ranked match. While the cheaters were earning Kill Points, “MohSSEEZZ” was handed an abandonment penalty for the situation. Apex Legends security analyst Conor Ford was tagged in the post, so hopefully some action is taken to reprimand the cheaters and prevent farming from happening.

Farming is one of many ways cheating is being done in Apex Legends. One player, in particular, has been terrorizing Apex Legends lobbies with various cheats including aimbots, wall hacking, and DDoS attacks. Tufi is an Apex Legends cheater who has seemingly gotten around multiple bans to continue to ruin the game for the top players in the world.

The cheater also took indirect credit for launching a DDoS attack on the Apex Legends GLL Masters tournament. Right before the attack, Tufi messaged popular Apex Legends streamer Shiv in-game to mock the tournament, seemingly revealing he was the one messing with the servers. While people like Tufi may be ruining the game with their antics, it is up to Respawn to take them on.

Respawn has recently launched a ban wave and promises to take action against cheating. Respawn has even stated that it may take legal action against cheaters and people launching DDoS attacks. As the game approaches Season 9, the developer will have to ensure that players can enjoy the game without being farmed for kills or kicked from games because of cheaters.

If cheating is effectively cut down by Respawn, Season 9 could be one of the most exciting yet. Season 9 will introduce new legend Valkyrie, as well as the new game mode Arena, a new Bocek Bow weapon, and much more. Mobile users will also be able to jump into the action for the first time, as Apex Legends will release on mobile soon.

Apex Legends is available now on PC, PlayStation 4, Switch, and Xbox One.
