It’s not just features, with Apex Legends Mobile set to get exclusive game modes, characters, and more. In fact, after the launch character Fade, there have been rumors of a new Apex Legends Mobile-exclusive character named Rhapsody. This character would have an ability tied to a robot dog, and based on its design and the character’s name, it would likely have something to do with sound in Apex Legends. However, the latest, potential exclusive content discovery may be more upsetting to base game fans.

For some time now, Apex Legends players have asked Respawn for a dedicated solo game mode. Respawn would eventually introduce a Duos mode, but the company would essentially explain that this is a team-based game and a solo mode would be highly unbalanced. However, it seems Apex Legends Mobile is getting a solo mode.
Leaked by ThatOneGamingBot, the icons for solo, duos, and trio modes could be seen above. This could theoretically be in reference to a solo mode LTM in Apex Legends Mobile, not a permanent game mode, but the fact that the icon looks just like solos and duos doesn’t really support that. If it were an LTM, the icon would likely be distinct, whereas this one sort of just falls in line.
Of course, just because there is some possibility of it doesn’t mean it will come to fruition. It may have been recently discovered, but icons or data like this in games like Apex Legends can be there forever and not ever be used. That said, while it would likely upset many Apex Legends fans, a solo mode in the mobile game may not worry about the same traps as the base game.
For one, Apex Legends Mobile has a lot of the same characters but different gameplay mechanics related to their abilities (like Loba’s ability to snag a player’s respawn banner). It also has less characters, and it would likely be easier to balance a solo mode with its smaller character count and ability adjustments, as it now stands. Whatever comes of this, fans will just have to wait and see.
Apex Legends is available now for Mobile, PC, PS4, PS5, Switch, Xbox One, and Xbox Series X.
