Set in a desert location with a giant Leviathon lumbering in the background, the Firing Range is an area where players can work on various aspects of their gameplay. For example, it contains all the weapons found in the game, even Care Package guns. Most players are familiar with the location, as it is the first place newcomers see when participating in the opening tutorial. While the game mode lets players practice shooting weapons and testing out Legend abilities, some believe that it could use a rework. Fortunately, it appears that changes could be coming to the practice mode in the coming days.

Recently, a user known as Pretty_Chard5030 uncovered some intriguing footage regarding possible new content coming to Apex Legends in the future. While the video focused on the testing of a new potential weapon called the Fanatic Energy Pistol, some observant fans spotted a significant change to the Firing Range. Next to the customary gun racks, there was a set of control panels. In the leaked video, the gamer interacted with this interface, causing the positioning of the test dummies to change on the field. In this particular example, they moved to positions further back on the range.
While the exact extent of the potential changes was not detailed in the video, it is doubtlessly exciting for those wanting a more effective way of practicing the skills needed in Apex Legends. However, it is worth noting that this leak has yet to be confirmed by Respawn Entertainment. As a result, it could turn out to be erroneous. Nevertheless, it seems possible that improvements could come to the Firing Range, as players have been asking for them for quite some time. In addition, the upcoming Apex Legends Mobile reportedly includes a Firing Range feature that lets players participate in mini-games in order to practice for real matches.
It will be interesting to see what the future holds for the Firing Range in Apex Legends. The developers have already made a number of changes to the game at the start of Season 12, but it is always possible more updates could be coming soon. It seems players can only wait and see if additional features are added to the training mode in the weeks ahead.
Apex Legends is available for PC, PS4, Switch, and Xbox One.
