Although Apex Legends contains a number of unique features that put a fresh spin on the battle formula, at least one fan-favorite feature–the ability to run while looting–was not intended to be part of the final game. Apparently, it was a bug missed during testing. However, fans love this feature, and Respawn Entertainment has confirmed it has no plans to fix the bug.

The ability to launch players into space is another Apex Legends bug that players appear to be quite fond of, but Respawn Entertainment has made a more serious effort to patch this glitch out. Redditor hotntasty_ and YouTuber Dirty Skirty shared the most recent iteration of this bug as of Season 12, which requires players to jump through a few hoops before launching themselves sky-high. According to Dirty Skirty, this is the most effective version of the launch glitch they’ve encountered so far.

In order to launch, it appears that Caustic players must head to the Phase Driver and push one of the cargo bots so that the colored side faces mostly upwards. Then, throw one of Caustic’s traps on top while keeping it as centered as possible. The third step is to park a Trident on top of the whole stack, still trying to keep it neatly centered, so that the camera zooms in extremely close and the Trident is no longer visible. Finally, players must get out of the Trident and stand on top of the trap, which will launch them when they touch it.

Both players filmed some extremely high launches that showcase the match-changing potential of this glitch. While it may be a bit difficult to execute such an intricate series of steps under enemy fire, if players are able to pull it off, they can get a fantastic view of the map from above. Caustic is a character who comes equipped with a number of projectiles that can be thrown from any height. This glitch could turn Caustic into an engine of destruction, despite recent nerfs to the character in Season 12.

Apex Legends is available for PC, PS4, Switch, and Xbox One.
